The HK MP7 Gas Blowback (GBB) Submachine Gun is a replica of the Heckler & Koch MP7. The HK MP7 is a relatively new addition to the HK line-up, having gone into production in 2001. It was designed as a Personal Defense Weapon (PDW) to improve upon the ability to penetrate body armor compared to standard pistol cartridge based systems such as the MP5 and USP. The MP7 is incredibly compact in size and light in weight but performs extremely well. As such, it can be used as a substitute for either a traditional pistol or a submachine gun with rifle-like effectiveness. The design characteristics of the MP7 include: a light-weight polymer body construction, retractable stock, folding front grip, and can effectively be fired either one or two handed. It is also ideal for both left and right handed shooters due to its ambidextrous fire selector, bolt catch lever, and magazine release.
It’s easy to see why the MP7 has recently been embraced by the military and law enforcement world. The MP7 has already been fielded by some of the world’s leading Special Operations units, and is now in use by organizations including: the UK’s Ministry of Defense Police, Norwegian Armed Forces, French Special Forces, Japanese Special Forces, German SWAT (SEK), and The United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group (aka DEVGRU aka Seal Team Six) among many others.
The HK MP7 GBB Submachine Gun’s features include: a fiber reinforced polymer body that is light and strong; metal top and side rails for mounting optics and weapon accessories such as lights and lasers; an integrated folding vertical grip for more stable shooting; easy operation by both left or right handed shooters due to the fully ambidextrous [...]
