We Say this is Cool and You Will Agree
Earlier this spring we attended the NRA Annual Meetings and Exposition in Dallas, Texas. As a part of our booth, we teamed up with Laser Ammo and Gnat Warfare to build what we will humbly call the coolest interactive display in the whole building. You see, some of LaserAmmo’s R.E.A.L. conversion kits made for blowback airsoft pistols will drop right into our GLOCK replicas. These drop-in laser barrels in combination with Laser Ammo’s Interactive Targets and Gnat Warfare’s “flying” drone targets all added up to the most fun of any booth in the show.
5 Reasons you Need a Blowback Replica Airgun in 2024
To quote the great comedian Tommy Chong, “There’s too much recession, man.” Or was it too much repression? Either way, between the economic situation and the state of the world there’s a good sized handful of reasons why you need to be using a blowback airgun in 2024. Without wasting (too) many words, listen up.
The Importance of Using Elite Force Biodegradable Airsoft BBs in Modern Airsoft Practice
Airsoft is a popular sport that simulates military engagement using replica firearms that fire plastic pellets, commonly known as BBs. Elite Force Biodegradable Airsoft BBs provide both quality performance and environmental benefits. This blog explores the importance of using these biodegradable BBs in airsoft.
What is Hop-Up?
Airsoft guns shoot a perfectly round 6mm plastic BB. This BB, if it came out of the barrel without any rotation, would knuckleball and not have any semblance of accuracy. A traditional rifle style twist would stabilize the BB somewhat, but the BB would not go any farther than the knuckleball style BB with no spin. Airsoft BBs will fly straight and farther when a backspin is put on the BB. This backspin has a name, the Magnus Effect. If the spin imparted to the BB is too great, the BB will curve upward rapidly. When tuned in just right, the BB will fly straight and for a greater distance than it would otherwise.
What Type of Accessories Will Mount on My Airsoft Gun?
Many airsoft guns are made to accept aftermarket accessories very easily. This might be through factory Picatinny rail, M-LOK rail slots, KeyMod rail slots, or through Quick Disconnect sockets.
What Battery Should I Use in My AEG?
There are several factors in AEG batteries that need to be considered when selecting the right battery. One chief factor is the connection style. There are several types of connectors on the market, but the two most common, and the ones Elite Force uses, are Tamiya or Deans. Tamiya is extremely popular and very common. This is handy when locating a replacement battery at your local airsoft store or field. These connections work very well at efficiently transferring power from the battery to the device.
What is an AEG?
Airsoft guns are often classified by their power source. Popular power sources for airsoft guns are Electricity, CO2, or Green Gas. When you see the letters AEG, you are being told that the airsoft product is powered by electric DC current. Those three letters actually stand for Automatic Electric Gun. Most often AEG airsoft is associated with carbine or PDW (Personal Defense Weapon) sized devices. These bigger airsoft guns have the needed room to hide the battery power source that runs the system. Yes, most AEGs are capable of selecting firing mode between single-shot, burst, or fully automatic.

What’s New for 2024
Well the cat is out of the bag at this point. We’ve been in Vegas for the past week along with the entire Shooting Sports industry talking about our new gear that is slated for release this year. We’ve also been jawing with some of our favorite content creators like Airgun Detectives, The Dollar Sportsman, Cory Brossman, Airgun Hobbyist, and Tom Claycomb. It was great, it was loud, it was fun, and it is over.

It is that time of the year again. And sorry for dating myself with the Ed Sullivan allusion. The Umarex crew will be headed out to the desert for the 2024 National Shooting Sports Foundation SHOT Show soon. In case you are looking for a leak on new stuff, I am sorry, but you will have to wait just a little bit longer. I know, such a disappointment.
