- Magazines Out, Chambers Cleared: Before stepping off the live field and entering the safe area, remove your magazine and fire two test shots into the clearing barrel on semi-auto to ensure the hop-up chamber is empty.
- Barrel Socks: While some fields don't mandate barrel socks, using one after coming off the field is an important extra precaution. Keeping your muzzle covered provides an added layer of safety and peace of mind for everyone in the safe zone.
- Keep Safety Selectors Engaged: Weapon selector switches must remain on "SAFE" at all times until you return to the live field. Never pull triggers in the safe area, even when testing gear setups.
2. Respecting Shared Staging Space
Staging areas can get crowded during busy weekend events. Practicing good staging etiquette makes the experience better for everyone:
- Compact Footprint: Keep your gear organized within your designated area. Avoid spreading tactical bags, battery chargers, and gun cases across multiple tables needed by other players.
- Trash Containment: Empty BB bags, water bottles, and snack wrappers should be disposed of in field trash bins immediately. Leave your staging table cleaner than you found it.
- Gear Integrity & Respect: Never pick up, adjust, or handle another player's airsoft replica or equipment without explicit permission. Respect individual property.
